Blog about someone in the fibre crafts who truly inspires you. There are not too many guidelines for this, it's really about introducing your readers to someone who they might not know who is an inspiration to you. It might be a family member or friend, a specific designer or writer, indie dyer or another blogger. If you are writing about a knitting designer and you have knitted some of their designs, don't forget to show them off. Remember to get permission from the owner if you wish to use another person's pictures.

This is the one day of the Knitting and Crochet Blog week where I was kind of at a loss for what to write. I am inspired by so many people that I don't really have a crochet hero per say. To me, you're fabulously awesome if you inspire others, think out of the box, stay true to your style, have fun while you are doing what you love and sharing your craft, and are keeping up with learning in crochet because there is so much to learn out there and knew things will come out all the time.
Instead of picking one person who I look up to, I thought it would be more fitting for me to share a few new crochet artists that I came across lately and have really fallen in love with. I love the style of their pieces, their color pallet, and just how beautiful and fun their finished pieces look. I have so many favorites so this is just a small sampling. And if you didn't already know, I am a sucker for anything vintage looking so that is where I am most drawn.
In no particular order, here are a few of my recent favs from the last month or so.

I love her vintage style and color pallet, looking through her designs makes me smile and want to run and crochet. :)

I just found her a few weeks back and fell in love with the designs of her pieces and her color pallet. The yarns always look beautiful and soft feeling and her patterns are all very elegant and feminine.
I just finished her scarf pattern and hope to get photos of it this week. It works up so quick and easy, I love it! :)

I have recently began to find a love with crocheting animals, which my daughter is thrilled about. When I did a search for ballerina bunny, Mari-Liis's Little Ballerina Bunny came up and I thought it was adorable to say the least! She has some really cute patterns that my daughter and I think are fab....our favorites are the Ballerina Bunny, Pony Girl, and Little Kitty.
The last person I want to give some props to is Mimmi Hill, the writer of Eskimimi Makes. She has fabulous patterns in lots of bold fun colors and I love that. She uses color the way I hope to one day use color and I think its pretty darn awesome. For right now though, I am sticking with my more muted tones and throwing in some bold pops of color via small accessories.....baby steps! lol :)
You can check out everyone else's knitting and crochet hero by typing in 3KCBWDAY3 in your google search. :)
Do you have a knitting or crochet hero? If so, do share! I love finding new yarn artists :)
